Funding

Government grants can cover much of what you spend on AI

Singapore funds a large share of SME technology spending. Five schemes are relevant to the work we do — here is what each one supports, and which engagement it applies to.

Most business owners we meet know the grants exist and assume they are more trouble than they are worth. Sometimes that is true. Often it is not, and the difference is simply knowing which scheme fits the work before the work is scoped.

We build that into Discovery. Before you commit to anything, we tell you which schemes look likely to apply to your situation and what they would realistically cover.

The short version

  • Training is the most heavily supported — up to 90%
  • Deployment and build sit around the 50% mark
  • Software builds may also attract a tax deduction
  • Eligibility is confirmed before you commit

The five schemes

Support levels below are the headline figures published for each scheme. What you actually receive depends on your company and how the engagement is scoped.

SFEC — SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit

  • Up to 90% cost offset
  • Supports workforce training and upgrading
  • Applies to: AI Academy
  • Credits expire 30 November 2026

PSG — Productivity Solutions Grant

  • Up to 50% cost support
  • Supports adoption of pre-approved productivity solutions
  • Applies to: First Mile AI

ECI — Enterprise Compute Initiative

EDG — Enterprise Development Grant

EIS — Enterprise Innovation Scheme

  • 400% tax deduction on qualifying costs
  • A tax measure rather than a cash grant
  • Applies to: Software Development

We are not a government agency and we do not administer these schemes. Support levels, eligibility criteria and deadlines are set by the relevant agencies and change from time to time — always confirm the current position before relying on it. What we do is tell you which schemes look applicable to your engagement, and scope the work so it fits.
